Public Art 2003 - Present

Eamonn's Public Art explores social and historic complexities of contested rural communities. Each Piece is finely tuned to reflect how the commissioning community see themselves.

Although his understanding of steel as a material has its roots in his training in traditional blacksmithing, he now uses contemporary tools and techniques to work the metal itself: deconstructing the steel by melting and burning it with plasma cutters and oxy acetylene guns; reforming it with welders and heat.
